Passionate About Helping Others Learn

Since taking the test for myself in 2019, I have worked hard to develop a system whereby I could transfer the knowledge I have gained about this important test to others. I've spent hundreds of hours tutoring, both on my own and with other companies to learn their methods. I have developed a method based around a two-part approach to the ACT- "game planning" and building knowledge. Neither is fully effective without the other, and both are integral to success on the exam.

"Game Planning"

I have come to realize that students understanding the ACT and how it works is, surprisingly enough, nearly as important as actually knowing the material it tests on. I would never have believed that, but student after student has shown me it is the case- when they know the tricks, they maximize their ability. When they don't, they fall short. There are tricks not taught in schools or anywhere else I have found that are absolutely vital to the student's success. Attend or view a "Crash Course Workshop" to get the principles of the "game plan".

Building KNOWLEDGE

When I was in the fifth grade, I attended a school widely known for its academic rigor and level of success. I was only there for a year, but to this day I remember and use more that I learned that year than from any other academic year of my life. The secret? Repetition. Nearly the entire school day was spent repeating things and practicing application of concepts over and over again. This remarkable learning experience a decade ago was actually the genesis for my ACT teaching method. I teach based around repetition- I track every problem each student ever does, how long it takes them to do, and how they perform. Using this, I can identify patterns of what types of questions the student tends to miss and repeat those types of questions with a variety of levels of assistance until they can get them right consistently on their own. Over and over again, this method has produced great improvement in ACT scores. Take a full-length course spread over weeks to maximize the knowledge built through this tried-and-true process.
